Many of you may have seen the Nashville Business Journal’s article on the Tennessee Supreme Court ordering a new court to be created. It will be set up to handle complex business litigation. The cases, according to the Order from the Supreme Court, must have at least $50,000 in damages alleged, and relate to one or more of the business categories listed in the Order.
It is exciting the the Tennessee legal system is taking this step. Tennessee is often listed as one of the top states for businesses, and creating a court system that can efficiently deal with business disputes with judges that are well versed in business matters, should only add to the state’s business draw. I look forward to following the development of this court and how my clients may benefit from the creation of the court.
